What in the World??

It was a perfect afternoon for a visit to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond. Not only were we in time to see the display of a million blooms of tulips and other flowering plants, but "Glorious Glass in the Garden" the work of glass artist Hans Godo Frabel, was on exhibit throughout the grounds. I am so tempted to take a day off from work and make a day trip to Richmond to see this. Thanks for sharing this delightful photo.

I invite everyone to make the trip to Richmond. There is so much to see in the Spring and I've never seen Lewis Ginter look more beautiful. I took so many wonderful flower pictures, but ended up with the glass picture because of the theme.

How wonderful that you were able to spend the day in the gardens, too! I can see why you were drawn to this sculpture! Will we see some of the flowers at a later time? I'm not sure how it is that we have so many flowers blooming simultaneously; maybe it's fair weather most of the time, but there must be some wonderful gardeners! "Ours is not to reason why..." I was there for the pure joy of it!

Hi Alison, your comment on my jasmine. It is a "star " jasmine. It has white flowers & a strong perfume - really lovely, but can take over if not pruned regularly. You can dry the new shoots and make tea out of it. Your jasmine sounds lovely too. :)
I like your photo for today. I will look at the link too. :)

Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens is one of my favorite places to just hang out for the day. I haven't been in about two years and, as you know, they are always changing things - thanks for the reminder of how special it is.
