Musician and print maker Jack Glover has a 2 week residency at our school, demonstrating and mentoring the art of print making. These pictures were taken the first day of his visit. I will probably revisit this location as the kids participate more. I was really excited to meet Jack because years ago he had a TV show, called Paint Pot Alley, on the local public broadcasting station, and my son (aged about 8 or 9) was one of his biggest fans. It was a program to encourage kids to use their imagination, and as you can see, many years later, he continues to spread the gospel.
Now that I see the wonderful work this visiting artist has done, I am going to make a point of getting down to the art wing to check these things out. You did an outstanding job on this collage, Allison!
Jack's prints are wonderful! I'd love a deeper peek into your life...I know you're surrounded with good art! The children have no idea how fortunate they are to be exposed to this, but I hope it will influence many of them in later life!
Sitting in the airport, I was thinking about how many of the pictures Ken has been taking of *me*, and I got the bug to make him at least an honorary 365er for a few days! He laughed! We're just having a silly-good time. The day is turning out well...didnt have to go thru DC, and am now in NYC...looks like no problem to get to Halifax & down to home tonight. AND, I had lots of 365 time...life is good :-)
