The title is my husband's idea. When I showed him the picture taken on a neighbor's front step, he said it reminded him of the chia pets sold at Christmas, where you add water and they start to sprout until, for example, the lamb ends up with a nice fleece. This lovely lady has a nice head of succulents.
This is a beautiful planter -- I would buy one like this if I saw it for sale.
Glad you saw it so that you an share its pic with us.
I think your husband's idea is cute -- and it does have a striking resemblance to the chica pets. ........in a good way.
I had taken a similar picture last week but went back yesterday so the image would be eligible for this week's theme. I agree the sunlight really adds to the picture. I'd like to take credit but it was just serendipity!
wow, i was instantly struck with strong feelings as soon as i saw this face, what an expression excellently captured in this piece of sculpture! and the cactus.....i did not see it till i read your caption!
Thanks, Allison but I looked at it again (and even flipped it vertically in Graphic Converter) but the fact that it was lacking foreground bugged me so I chose not to post it.
Hi Allison...I got your note about a lack of time presently...I think there's a lot of that going around! Like you, I hit the computer for an hour or so when I first get up, and depending on the weather here, my day is either filled, visiting friends locally, or, iof it's raining (which it hasn't much), I can find soime computer time. This is so addicting, I feel I'm missing something (and I AM) when I'm away. We've just come in from dinner with more neighbors in town, so I can see 10:15 until after midnight, 365 time! Truth be told, I'm here until 1:30 some AMs! Did any of us suspect it would turn into this in the early stages! Well, just wanted you to know you were in good company... and now back to my home page and to reciprocate some of the comments I received. I want it all! See you catch-as-catch-can!
What a really pretty planter. I didn't notice the succulents and that it was a planter until I read your comment. Just thought it was garden art work. Nice photo.
Glad you saw it so that you an share its pic with us.
