How could I participate in the faces theme without including a portrait of my granddaughter? Theoretically this picture can not be included because it was not taken this week, but unfortunately I only see Maddie a few times a year. So here she is, a favorite face, any time, any where.
Oh my, Allison, she is soooo cute. The photo reminds me of the old child's song "Me and My Teddy Bear" --( me and my teddy bear have no worries, have no cares. Me and my teddy bear just play and play all day).
I have enjoyed this photo of your granddaughter -- I don't care what day it was taken. Sharing the face of the ones we love with others is more important than "which" day it was taken (that's my editorial comment).
This is adorable. I wondered about the sweater in June - lol- but you explained it away and I want to say that whenever I post something that does not seem to fit for one reason or another I remind myself that part of this project is documenting a year in my life...so really, bottom line is that we can post any photo that has special meaning to us anytime we want!
What a precious child.
re: the lego pic. Maybe because I was an observer and was able to view and comment on the overall process I found that it was a great way to say, to those higher than myself, that having the right people in the right positions would have been a great help. For example, having visually oriented people involved at every level would have been very benificial in this exercise. Furthermore, my manager and two others who use words to communicate were in the position of describing the object to the Communicators who described it to the people who built it. I was able to let them know that had they been able to communicate in visual terms - like starting off telling the others what the outcome was to be - it would have helped. I was trying to diplomatically tell him that he needs to give me big picture, at work, so that I can more efficently and effectively produce the best outcome. I think he got my message.
re: Sytse's photo = Most rabbits are not at all huggable. My boy has been held since the day he was born and does not know he has the option to not be held. My posts of May 8th and May 10th show him in my arms relaxing, then sleeping. http://365project.org/sytse/365/2010-05-08 and http://365project.org/sytse/365/2010-05-10
When I’m laying around on the sofa, he likes to snuggle beside me or hide under my pillow. He’s just a tad bit spoiled!
