For several weeks when I go to check my mail in the Teachers Room, I am confronted by this startling sight in the cubby next to mine. Why is this baby doll jammed in here and will her sentence ever be commuted? The mailbox belongs to a kindergarten teaching assistant, a very nice young woman with 2 kids of her own. I haven't had a chance to ask her what the story is, but I intend to get to the bottom of it. I certain don't want the poor thing stuck here over the summer.
Regarding your question on my recent photo, it's actually a photo of my son that I applied a texture to give a statue appearance. As always, thanks for your comments.
Reminds me of walking into my daughters wardrobe when she was little. Quite often her dolls would be stored away in this fashion, and at other times they would all be tucked up in there little dollie beds.
Certainly is NOT what you expect to see in the mail cubby !!!!
I wonder if the baby doll is silently screaming "Please rescue me -- why, oh why, have I been abandoned?"
ok now- this is the kindergarten assistant - a very nice young woman with 2 kids of her own!- who lays claim to the baby doll- I wish I had a really creepy story to tell- but maybe the creepiest part of this is that I have saved this doll because I just can't seem to get "it" off my back- it was part of my dramatic play area this past school year- one of my less empathetic 5 year olds ripped her arm off in a tug of war that I was sitting back and analyzing one day in May, when my mind was elsewhere- and low and behold she pulled the dollar tree baby's arm off! I just left it in my cubby- bc I just could not throw it away! needless to say it is in the trunk of my "mommy car" (read mini van) waiting her afterlife......or is it her reincarnation....
The mystery is solved!! I'm so glad you took the trouble to give us the whole story. As you can see above, lots of 365-ers were interested. I hope you didn't feel I was talking about you behind your back but it was a great photo op and I couldn't resist. (With 365, you never know who's watching!)
