Yesterday with the temperature hovering around 100, the air conditioning was laboring in our building. The IT folks were worried about the strain on the computers so they opened the door to the room where our servers reside and directed a powerful fan at the system in an effort to keep it cool. I couldn't resist poking my head in to see what exactly the servers look like. When I saw the spaghetti-like mass of wires, I didn't have to be told, "Look, but don't touch."
Very nice, and actually, this seems to be quite an ordered cabinet. Looks like the central place where your network cables come together to connect all the offices together.
I've seen racks of switches that were pretty much configured the same way as my grandma's wool basket. Pity the fool that has to sort that out (as my big friend mister T would have said :-) )
Allison..i just woke up with a cup of coffee i sit down at the computer open up to my home page and this colorful pictures of yours almost hit me in the face...what a wake up ... dont touch ...i would say dont look ...
when you are still half asleep. interesting to know that these wires had to be cooled down.
Yeah, I wouldn't be told as well. I can understand their concern for the heat as well. I hope it cools down soon. Today I am in a high heat advisory....!
It is going to be hot here today as well. I know computer stuff has to be kept cool so know their concern. This is a great photo of our technology today!!
re: BNSF 2879 - sitting in idle. Fort Lewis/McCord gets its rail service from this area. There was another BNSF at the other end of this consist with Tacoma Rail doing switching around it..
This is a cool shot and so intimidating, I certainly would never touch it!
Swampscott! Nice area. I am about an hour South of Boston just over teh Sagamor Bridge, while Swampscott is a little North of Boston so it's not all that far. Have a nice visit, is it just a weekend trip?
I think you are right about the flower... however because of where it is, I just was not sure... they are all over the marshes/swamp area on 627...Mechanicsville
FABULOUS photo...and oh my the wires! And...as far as the birth control use of Queen Ann's lace...I have no idea on the effectiveness!~ Thought that was a fun fact though!

I can not even imagine what could go wrong with the wrong person messing with these wires.
