Abandoned Park

Another photo from Scott's Addition in Richmond, this picture depicts one of the saddest scenes I can imagine. I don't know any of the history of this little park. All I know is that it has been abandoned, neglected and forgotten by the city's Department of Recreation and Parks. Shouldn't they be ashamed to advertise ownership of this rundown plot of land? Well I am ashamed for them.

We have a new school in the neighborhood. I am wondering what will become of the old one...something like your park?? I certainly hope not.

Boy, we have all found many places in need of some TLC...but unfortunately that takes money which is a scarce resource everywhere these days.

It really is a shame that they let this little park go. Hopefully funding will become available so they can clean it up.
