Today was convocation at our K-12 school, and one of the great traditions of the school is the pairing of kindergartners with seniors as they process onto the football field. In a kindergarten classroom before the assembly a kindergartner borrows her senior's camera to record all the excitement. When I was a kid, my father was in charge of the Brownie which came out only on very special occasions. Now a 5 year old wields a digital camera with the confidence of a photo-journalist.
Nice capture. I let my grandson take occasional pictures with my little p & s, but he has a Disney digital camera of his own. Some of the things that he thinks to photograph are pretty amusing and interesting to see what is important to him.
Great capture for the theme, Allison! I read somewhere that "we" are "digital immigrants," while today's kids are "digital natives." (A friend of mine said that if I'm a digital immigrant, she's an illegal immigrant! LOL!)
P.S. I, too, love the fact that Flat Allie will be traveling with Louise!!
amazing to watch the kids. my son has been taking pix since he was about three because the camera occupied him on trips both in airports as well as in the car. He has able to use my "big" camera with relative ease ever since it was almost bigger than him. It's amazing to watch.
P.S. How cute that you sent the "Flat Allie" to Louise! I loved it! ;-))
