A very different flare today using the Hipstamatic app. It reminds me of a Rorschach inkblot open for whatever interpretation you might choose. I do like the dreamy quality, with the telephone pole there to anchor the image to reality.
This is like painting with very strong colours :)

re: 3-dimensional snowflakes ... google directions for making them! I used 4" x 4" squares, had the children draw lines with "stop points" and we used glue sticks instead of staples. Try one ahead of time and ask questions if you need help! They're pretty impressive, when finished!
