Waiting

It was such a bleak gray day,. I didn't feel like venturing too far afield. Fortunately my neighbor's dogs were keeping watch for his return from running an errand. These two are the best dogs for community living because they never bark. They let me take their pictures as they kept a vigil for Their Lord and Master. I thought inclusion of the edge of the door made this a possible candidate for this week's theme.
oh this is a fantastic shot! They do look framed! Look at the eyes on the little guy, gorgeously dramatic!

I want a dog like that little guy...this is an OUTSTANDING shot, Allison. IMHO, it is perfect for "frame" theme.

I love this shot! They look sad though!

I really love this! The black and white lends itself to the emotional (and somewhat pitiful) look on their faces! What great companions they must be!

Thanks for all your kind comments. I used to be nervous having a pit bull next door when my neighbors first moved in, but then the puppy joined the family, and it was clear the big dog was a very maternal and loving companion.

Bless them - they're going to be so happy when he gets back! You've caught their expressions beautifully.

The larger dog looks so sad at being left behind while his master is out. Dogs truly are mans best friend.
