Meg and I rose at 5:15 to make our way to the beach in time for sunrise. It was so quiet, with one runner, one walker and one fisherman along with a variety of gulls. It was miraculous watching the gray sky turn pinker and pinker until finally the molten gold of the sun rose above the horizon. We headed back home at 6 am and fell back into bed. One more thing to check off my bucket list!
