A library conference is wonderful for librarians, but the rich material of the working sessions probably isn't particularly interesting to those not in the profession, so instead I will share some of the extras in my first full day of the conference.
The Salvadore Dali Museum is just around the corner from the hotel so I walked over during our free time this afternoon. The collection was a gift to St. Petersburg from a couple who wanted to keep their entire collection intact. The museum moved into this building on 1.1.11 and, as the docent observed, this would have probably, pleased Dali immensely since he was very interested in numerology.
