Families Support the Library

We have been distributing books selected by parents at the Parents Night library book sale. The librarians select more than 600 books, based on professional reviews and the parents select from among these volumes. Each book gets a book plate added with the name of the child from that family inscribed on it. The child is then the first person to check out the book. Here you see stacks of books ready to be given out to boys and girls in different classes. Now comes the last step in the process. We librarians write personal thank you notes to each child who has donated a book. It’s a lot of work, but the kids really appreciate it, and that makes it well worth it.
I think it's great and I see how a child would appreciate it.
