I’ve shown you pictures of our student helpers, but I don’t think I’ve ever photographed our parent volunteers. We certainly couldn’t run our program as efficiently without them. They sign up to come in on a regular basis, generally a few hours a month, to get the books back on the shelves. Since we circulate thousands of books a month, it is vital to return the books to their proper place in a timely fashion. This year we have a corps of 36 women, and a few men who staff our library and keep things running smoothly. These two lovely ladies had just finished their stint and were heading out the door when I was caught by the harmony of their striped dresses. They good-naturedly allowed me to photograph them when I jokingly suggested they were wearing the Library Volunteer uniform.
Thanks to all our volunteers for your support of the library in so many ways.
If all the volunteers should get a star, it never would be dark again. I read this somewhere...
