My daughter-in-law, a high school English teacher, got a lovely note from a student that she posted on FaceBook today. The student acknowledged the progress she had made this year under Sarah’s tutelage. It was a wonderful affirmation for the dedication and hard work a classroom teacher offers her students.
This note appeared on my desk this morning, unsigned. Yes, my name was not spelled quite right along with a few other corrections to be made, but all that pales in comparison to the words of the last sentence. What librarian wouldn’t consider that the Academy Award, the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize all rolled into one. There can be no greatest honor.
