There were only four of us at the pool this morning. An old married couple and me and my friend Dana, both former teachers, For most, summer is winding down and life has started up again. For retired teachers it is a lovely quiet interlude made more precious as we contemplate, from a distance, the hurly burly of the start-up of school.
