Close but...

All you hamburger haters were mistaken in guessing ground beef. Many correctly thought it was a ceramic piece. Local artist Dana Dumont created this rattle from glazed terra cotta and added bisque pebbles inside to provide a sound when shaken. It is about the size of a baseball and sits on my coffee table. It is one of my favorite pieces because of its constantly changing aspect.
very cool! thanks for all of the different angles!

Haha! I thought it was a ground beef and then a model of a body...well...not quite on track.

**I KNEW** there was a lot of good work goin' on there! (patting my head in congratulations...) Beautiful! I'm sending the link to my daughter...she used to make similar pieces when she was doing a lot of ceramic work. So glad you shared this! (now aren't you others sorry you couldn't see through to the beauty of it?)
