It was 94 degrees F yesterday. On a hot day there is nothing like the blue of hydrangeas to delight the eye and refresh the spirit. Just looking at these blooms lowers the temperature about 20 degrees.
Fantastic color. What a wonderful photo - love hydrangeas. Do you have to work at it to get this color? When I was a kid when had these and they had lots of purple mixed in, but we didn't bother with the whole issue with the soil to adjust the color.
Oh I do agree. Blue hydrangeas are one of my top 3 favorite flowers! This is a beautiful shot. I can't believe yours are in full bloom already, I don't have any even sprouting blooms yet, we have a way to go up here in MA. I love making bouqets for the house with them.
Easy for you to say...though these are some of the most beautiful hydrangea I have ever seen and I applaud you on this photo... after standing out on the track 3 and 1/2 hours in 97 degree heat for field day repeating directions for a game called "Pick it up" 16 times over the course of the morning, nothing but a cold beer or a hose turned on me could have cooled me off yesterday!
