I haven't posted a flower in awhile and I think I need one to counteract urban decay.
Vinca or Periwinkle is a prolific heat and drought tolerant annual, perfect for hot, dry areas. It's easy to grow, and requires little or no attention.
I took this picture on my morning walk. I'm not sure if that is dew on the flower or raindrops from a late evening shower.
I too have struggled this week with my emotions and just haven't had the desire to take pictures of the things so run down. Even today, I had another picture that lifted my spirits but opted for the theme one since I didn't do anything with it yet. Yet, I tried to find something good from it and that made me think of the serenity prayer. ...I rather like the refreshing idea that you photographed today!
A pretty white flower -- certainly is refreshing and gives the impression of a new beginning. I agree with you that something refreshing is needed to counteract the urban decay which has been so depressing.
