Yesterday many of the teachers in my book club traveled to the neighboring county of Powhatan, about 30 minutes from school, for two reasons: to pick out our books for the coming year and to see our friend Holly's new home. You met Holly here http://365project.org/allie912/365/2010-05-11 in her old house. Nice as her former home was, this country residence has all the recreational pleasures of a vacation resort. Here you see two from the book club trying out kayaks on the lake right at the edge of their lawn. It was a wonderful afternoon, with lots of laughter and good food and the prospect of varied and challenging books chosen for the months ahead. We all agreed that Holly has found the house of her dreams.
