This is a fan letter to the dogwood, the state tree of Virginia.
Dear Dogwood Tree,
You have beautiful flowers in the spring. In the summer you make a lovely canopy for a patio or yard, but you are not so big that home owners need to worry about storm damage. Now that it is fall, you create a lovely display of crimson and golden leaves. In the winter your bare branches make a graceful silhouette on a cold night.
In all seasons there is something special about you.
Thank you for adding so much to the beauty of Virginia.
Beautiful shot - I see lines - you could tag it for the theme. Like your letter to the dogwood - we spent 20 years in Missouri - dogwood is their state tree!
