Here are some of the sights, but alas none of the sounds, of the 3rd Annual Richmond Folk Festival. A beautiful weekend for the 3 day celebration although actually rather hot when I was there Saturday. (Notice a picture on the left in which everyone is seeking shade from a single tree.) Karen and I have different years for the folk festival because before it was a Richmond festival it was the site of the National Folk Festival. The people of Richmond liked the ffun of the festival so much, they decided to have one of our own after the national celebration moved on.
It looks like a fabulous event, and I'm sure everyone enjoyed themselves. Ilike that little guy in the bottom right photo. Is he dancing or running away crying., It's kind of hard to see.
@digitalrn@bruni I also loved that little guy dancing barefoot in the grass. I wasn't quick enough to get a shot of him carrying his own little sandals. I didn't want his parents to think I was stalking him!
