The Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year, is the most popular and important of Chinese holidays. It is a time of prosperity, family, tradition, and good will. The greeting \gung\ /hei/ faat \choih\ meaning "bless happiness, and prosperity" is often exchanged with friends. Our Chinese teacher (lower left) told me that this traditional phrase is in Mandarin.
The panda in the middle is holding a money envelope. Giving gifts of money is a tradition of the holiday.
On the right are two first graders who have their own Chinese outfits which they love to wear when they celebrate Chinese New Year at school. Do you think the outfit of the child on the left is rather small? She confided to me that she has had it since she was 3 years old!
Wow well done Allison, what software did you use to make 4 images into 1 ?
No matter how you did it, if I can quote an expression we use at work... it's a .... 'job well done', Regards Phil
