American Mosaic by allie912

American Mosaic

Scenes from today's dress rehearsal of the 4th grade end-of-unit production, American Mosaic. What you don't get to experience is the singing and dancing and the great fun the students had presenting it to the entire Lower School. Tomorrow they do it again for their families.
Some of the pictures include characters Davy Crockett, Black Hawk, and a host of other pioneers and American legends. You can see one of the teachers reminding them to "sing". Several pictures show the 4th grade musicians, including a star drummer who kept a steady beat throughout the big dance numbers. Notice also the daguerrotypes created by the art teacher in which each student dresses as a character he or she researched.
Spring break begins on Friday and these students will certainly be ready!

allie, this is a great collage. What a way to tell the story of the day. What a cool deal for the kids to do one for the lower grades and then on for families. Looks like a good time was by all

Allison, this is a beautiful collage capturing a happy day. You should print it off and put it on your school wall / notice board. I like the American flag in the middle

Allison, you did an OUTSTANDING job on capturing the "flavor" of the American Mosaic. It was truly a wonderful production. Every child gets to be a star in it! I especially was blown away by Matthew's drum playing. That was a surprise as he is so quiet in class. What a natural he is!
