"An art technique that uses realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that depicted objects exist in three dimensions."
John had commented on several occasions that our spatula needed replacing. I found this beauty while doing some last minute Christmas shopping with Max and Sarah. We were in one of those amazing kitchen stores that sells things you didn't realize you needed til you saw them. As a conversation piece and work of art, it gets an A+, but as a piece of kitchen equipment, I would give this spatula a C. It only took one try to realize it has no straight edge to help you get under an egg or pancake. Oh well, sometimes beauty is enough.
Haha! Cute, but hmmmm, I can see why it was a problem to use. This caught my eye because of the title, believe it or not. We used to do a film unit with our kids and one of the films was called Trompe L'oeil!!
Who could blame you for not passing this by! It certainly makes the stove-top look cheery! (And what woman doesn't like a few frivolous trifles in her life?!)
