RVA Street Art Festival

Happened to catch this announcement in the local paper so John and I headed over this afternoon.

"Partnering with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the RVA Street Art Festival will turn Richmond’s iconic baseball stadium into a canvas of mixed-media art – including painted murals, projection lighting, landscape art, stairwell art, drone art, and other forms yet to be identified.
This unprecedented partnership will offer the community a chance to watch and participate in the live art transformation of The Diamond that will feature local, national, and international artists. This year’s festival will also include a concert series, food and beer trucks and creative activities for children and adults in the parking lot around the stadium."
It was brutally hot in the parking lot, but inside the confines of the baseball park a refreshing breeze kept us cool. The crowd was enthusiastic, enjoying the food and drink as much as the art.

Great looking collage.it sounds interesting, the combination of baseball and art. quite a first. hope your temperature didn't reach 122 degrees with high humidity to boot.
