This Sunday is a total Christmas extravaganza at our church. In the morning we have the traditional children's pageant, (More of that tomorrow) and in the afternoon, our gift to the neighborhood, a Christmas festival.
Here you see a Mom with her son and daughter, a lamb and angel respectively. This young woman is a lawyer and also the Clerk of the Session for our congregation. In the Presbyterian Church that means she serves on the session (the governing body of the local church), records and preserves the minutes and transactions of the church, acts as parliamentarian for congregational meetings and generally sees that everything is done in an orderly manner. It is a big responsibility for someone even without a challenging job and a husband and two children.
I can't resist adding that Faith was a member of my Sunday School class as a kindergartner and I look forward to having Elena when she moves up to my class..
