Both my photos today were taken on the grounds of Maymont, the 100 acre estate of James and Sallie Dooley, who lived there from 1893 to 1925. There is both natural beauty and enhancements in the form of a nature center, a Japanese and Italian gardens, gazebos dotting the rolling hills, and a mansion straight out of the Gilded Age.
