@wakelys Like many of our cathedrals, abbeys and other places of worship Hereford has many nooks and crannies and rooms full of interesting things. To “do” a cathedral etc property you really need a full day or more.

As I look at this view of the library, I see the inclined desks. I read your link and learned the chains are attached such that a user could bring a book, while chained, off the shelf and place it on the desk to read. An interesting library.
