Not that you can much tell it is winter by this photo. I was a day (or two) late and a dollar short on this shot of my favorite, tree-lined, windy driveway in the area. I thought a couple nights ago that I should go here to catch it covered in snow. Well the next morning, the snow was melting and by today, well...you can see it's nearly gone.
I went back two weeks later to catch it with the leaves changed for fall and was again too late (they had already fallen off). This year, I hope to get it covered in snow and full of fall and maybe even spring color.
It's nice with just the bits of snow left.. .. tells a bit of a story. I guess one of the things photography teaches us is that we have to capture the moment in the moment as it will never be there just that way again. I get caught all the time.
Oh what a gorgeous and interesting shot! I love the winding roads :) And I love your other shot of this location as well! It's a super one to keep taking shots of every different season :) So lovely :)
Very nice seasonal series Amanda! I like your perspective! It looks like you had a serious melt. We still have snow and it sounds like a mixture of rain, freezing rain and snow tonight and tomorrow.
@skipt07 Send us some, Skip. It makes me sad when it melts...but I did see some tulip shoots today which brought me joy! We still need to take the kids sledding and out for some more snow play this season so I hope we get more! And thank you!!:)
@mgozzard Thanks so much, Margaret! It also invites me to keep going back for photos. I love that place:)!
@fueast Thanks so much, Alison!
