Today I spent my morning time alone taking photos and then met my dear friend, Jen, for a run on the bike trail. We were marveling at how lovely the trail looked dressed for spring and she was gracious enough to go back with me down the path a bit after our run so that I could take a few photos.
I tried some ICM effects on the trees and I was most happy with the results of this one. It has a sort of fairy tale feeling to me, like the story of Hansel and Gretel when they were lost in the woods. How scary that would be. Luckily, Jen and I found our way back to the car just fine by following the trail of pebbles that we had left behind us.
This shot looks best large and on black if you have a sec:).
@happysnap You inspired me with your recent awesome version. I'd never seen vertical ICM prior to that. I tried to do a different spin on it by including the trail. Thanks for the fav. Honored:)!
@taffy Thanks so much, Taffy. Really appreciate the fav. It seems that this one fell kinda short with feedback/comments, so your fav was encouraging. I've taken a step back with being on here and it seems to be taking a toll. That or this shot made people sick:).
@jsw0109 I was inspired by your and Linda's recent vertical ICM shots. I finally tried it, too, and rather liked the results. I also did a zoom burst shot yesterday. That is so cool a process and I can't wait to try it again and hopefully get a better result.
@amandal Ah, hang in there...I notice a definite pattern in responses based on how active I can be. Remember -- you're doing this for you! In the meantime, know that you've set me off on googling ICM to figure out what it is and how to do it!
Haha awesome story, glad you made it back safely and the big bad wolf didn't get ya =P
Fabulous effect, I've seen a few similar shots on here lately and just love the artsy feel they have, almost like a painting.
@tanja_1211 I was inspired by them and wanted to try it. I hoped to make mine a little different with the inclusion of the path. I had thought that I would wait a bit to do this but when the inspiration strikes, I go with it. Thanks, lady. It was a close call. I did scream like a girl when we were in the woods, but that is a story for another day (when I use the photo that I was taking). Wildlife can be scary when it jumps unexpectedly in front of you!
@taffy Thanks so much, Taffy. Really appreciate the fav. It seems that this one fell kinda short with feedback/comments, so your fav was encouraging. I've taken a step back with being on here and it seems to be taking a toll. That or this shot made people sick:).
Thanks for your great comments, guys. Hope that the shot didn't make you too sick to look at.
@wind_of_the_sothern_sea You are so kind, Arefin. Thank you!!
@3sixty5 ICM can be so fun! Thanks, lady!
