This was taken by while on my Mother's Day hike in a new nearby park called Winton Woods. The gorgeous background is a reflection in the muddy waters of a creek.
It was lush, green and lovely, albeit it a little cold and muddy. A great way to spend part of Mother's Day, despite the loads of laundry and baths that had to follow. I did redeem the mud by trying to make a point to hold hands more...with both Michael and the kiddos. That was the best part of my day.

@amandal had a look through your photos for this year and couldn't see any motion blur panning shot. How about trying to capture a moving vehicle. Try keeping the background blurred and the vehicle in focus.

Now I know you just gave me a fave, but this has stopped me in mid sentence it is jaw droppingly good. It needs to be seen on a wall 30 ft high!! Favissimo
Love all the new growth in the spring. The greens are always so vibrant. Great lighting and love the blurred branch and all the green in the background.

@losthorizon It was pretty good. I was really crabby much of the day, though. Not enough sleep the night before and I didn't get that new lens;-). Actually I had tons of work (laundry and baths because of the muddy walk). Bah, next year I am going for a massage or something relaxing and pampering.

My family and close friends have nicknamed me Pea since I was small. I was hoping to get the SweetPea URL for my photography website but many others have had the same idea and got in there way before me!
