I caught this tree finally dressed for spring a few weeks back...I had been checking for weeks and it stayed naked much longer than the other trees around here. I had opted for another shot from that day of my Mother's Day hike. I almost forgot about this one, but wanted to post it as the spring version of my series.
@soboy5 I'd really prefer more space on one side or the other and a different orientation, but the lens and the stuff around the tree won't allow. Thank you!!
@rockinrobyn I wished it had been full of flowers, though! That would have really been the epitome, but oh well, not that kind of tree. Thanks, my friend!
It is such a super composition with the slant of the hill and the majestic tree. I recognised it immediately even though it now looks very different to the winter version. I will look forward to the next two.
What a great tree! Lovely to have pics of the same tree in more than one season, you could make a great collage at the end :-). Incidentally, is your tree actually on a slope or has it had one too many lol :-) http://365project.org/deeganp/365/2013-05-27
Love, love this, along with the winter shot. I like how you made it interesting, with the hill's slope. I plan to do this with a tree at our farmhouse, as the seasons there are so drastic. Just have to find the right tree...
I'm loving this series! It makes me wish I'd chosen something to do seasonally...oh well...Your framing is perfect for the series -- interesting on its own, but works well when you will put the four together.
Thanks all so much for your comments on my spring shot of the tree. Can't wait to finish the project of completing all 4 seasons. Hope that I, and the friend who asked me to take the shots for him, are happy with the final results.
I based the title on the U2 song that I loved, not the show. I never did see the show with this title.
@seanoneill I agree. Love that and Running to a Stand still. I prefer their old stuff rather than the electronica. Thanks for your kind comments. I'd love there to be more room in this photo, but the lens and surroundings won't allow.
@helixconcepts I have run down the hill. I went for weeks in the early spring to regularly check its progress. It stayed naked long after most trees got dressed. I went up to see it up close, to inspect whether or not the thing was dead and ran back down. Thanks, lady!!:)
@thirtysevenways@squamloon Thanks so much, guys. I hope that my friend is happy with it in the end. It was the first time someone ever offered to buy images from me.
This shot is so perfect, it looks like it was constructed in PhotoShop...take some lush green grass tilted just a bit...a little more....yes, right there.
Insert a tree with an interesting shape, leafing out with fresh Spring foliage.
Slip a gorgeous blue sky in behind along with cotton puff clouds. Voila!!
I keep clicking back and forth between tabs of the two views. Wow, this is going to make the most stunning collage. I can't wait to see it. Does this tree turn colors in the fall?
Your friend is gonna LOVE it! Guaranteed.
Hmm, I just found myself wondering how you're going to configure the collage. Two over two? Or four side by side?
I guess I'll have to wait and see. :-)
@pasadenarose Thank you so very much for those great words and fav. I sure hope he does. Can't wait to see what the fall color (if any) looks like! Hope it's dramatic.
@espyetta Thanks so much for the fav, sweet lady!!:)
@nbs Thanks so much for the fav, Nancy!!
