I shot this a few weeks back when I had the still reflection in the lake and caught the slip of a ship.
The problem is that it is summer for my kids now and we are on day 4 of them being off. They are bored. When I woke up this morning before even getting my cup of coffee I was accosted with "What's for breakfast and what are we doing today, MOM?"
We now have a plan in place and it's going to be a busy day of going to the gym and indoor play park. Hope that yours is wonderful.
I'm glad my eldest has at least 3 weeks of hockey camp this summer plus a week of strings camp. That will help to keep him occupied so now I just have to work on activities for his sister and I. 2 of the weeks we'll be camping in the Adirondack mountains so I need to look into the options we have there, besides hiking, swimming, canoeing....
Fabulous capture fabulous reflection awesome image : our daughter is 21/22 and when home from Uni after 2 days those immortal words 'I'm bored' so it don't get any better:-(
@seanoneill When you road trip, through America someday, I'd love to have you all over to dinner or meet up with you and your family somehow. Hope that your trip through Germany is nice. Enjoy some Black Forest cake for me.
Good luck with the school holidays :-) ... I look forward to them, but probably as I give the grandkids back at the end of the day when their mother gets home from work/uni and I get to drink my coffee in peace every morning
Phenomenal reflection! Sounds like the kids need a brainstorming session wherein they take charge of planning the week's activities. I remember starting the day being expected to have a plan as being very stressful - especially before coffee! Good luck with your summer.
@snaggy That's one advantage (I keep looking for them) to having just one lens. I figure there must be some advantage to it.;-) One day I will have more, but in the meantime, no changing necessarry. I just can't get things in focus sometimes, which is maddening. Thanks, Kev!
Oh yes, got to love what are we doing question, especially before coffee! Guess I should be pleased break is not for a couple weeks ;)
Gorgeous shot, really like the reflection.
@bristolrose Thanks, Kathryn. Really appreciate your comments, lady!
@helixconcepts Enjoy your time before break. Today it was raining and a looooong day of being stuck indoors. We did get out in the late afternoon finally which was nice! Thanks, lady!
@tonydebont Glad that you appreciated the shot and title. I really work for my titles sometimes:)!
@barbsmith Yes, a brainstorming session is in store. I have a list I started just need to go over it with them and get their input. I like the idea of having a weekly plan, too. Thanks, lady!!
@rockinrobyn Thanks, Robyn!! It was nice to have an off day for photos. I took the kids out to a park and then was kicking myself for not packing the camera, though.
@paul2782 Oh no...I guess then it's time to kick em out;-). Thanks for the lack of encouragement, Paul;-)!
I am going to stop looking through your back shots because I just seem to be finding exceptional shots and my self esteem is going to suffer soon (& I've barely looked at your other albums! Lol) Fav btw - great clarity - awesome reflection and just down right pretty!
OhFreakin'Wow!
It can be so difficult getting good composition with wildlife...ya just gotta shoot them where ya find them. He stood in a great spot for you. "If I don't twitch a feather, maybe she won't notice that I'm here."
Great composition and reflection here.
