I want to thank you all for being such a great community and so supportive of my work. I was in a bit of a summer slump since my time in New York, and then had a pretty darn good photo week this week.
Thanks so much for all of your comments, banter, fun and support. You all helped put my hot air balloon shot on PP and today on the Top 20 for the week. I am honored and grateful.
Sorry to be such a photo posting fool today. I'm getting a jump on the busy weekend of partying (sister and hubby's birthdays), travel to visit and tour a huge cave, and a much anticipated visit with my best friend and her family).

@bobfoto Annoyed that the wire and flag and other thing are in there, but what do you do?! I attempted to edit the weird bit out, but it wasn't happening. Ah well. A mammoth cave:). Biggest in the world, I think. Glad I have a new tripod:)!
Fabulous sky and the heli-silhouette is awesome - sometimes life has wires - and strings attached and the odd flag-waving moment - Our measure is in living with them and loving the fact that everything around them is soooo awesome in spite of them! - and this is awesome - although I think Mr Helicopter might be a tightwire artiste in another existance! Lol
@amandal - Longest now? Thort you said Biggest.... Google failed me. Mammoth Cave sounds massive. Is it called that because it is big or because there are hairy elephants inside?
our school used to go on field trips to mammoth cave. never been but my sister has. you'll be in my neck of the woods. think it's like 2 hrs away from where my family is. my clan is more south western closer to the tn line

@michaelelliott Thank you, Michael. I went to the best photo event for me since NYC...a hot air balloon event that had a balloon glow, skydivers and all kinds of flying objects...and people:). It was an awesome way to get out of my post trip slump. Heck, one shot from it made TT this week which was the first for me in a long while.

@amandal - Can't find your faux pas... but that sucks no camera bags... now where did I go where they did not allow my camera bag??? And i left my cargo pants at home???
@bobfoto I could carry it, I guess. I did all day in NYC. I wonder what kind of photos i can get in a big black cave, though. Above, I called a dude a lady. Crap. Feeling embarrassed.
@amandal - Oh i saw that... thought Paul was okay with it and it doesn't/shouldn't look like you will lose a follower over it. I have long hair and have been called all sorts of things. Its a good reason to growing a beard although it confuses the kids.
Not home yet. Well I am. But I'm leaving for somewhere different closer to my other home.
