Today, I got up in the pitch black of night to meet a friend, drive across town and search for the sun. It was wonderful and there was not a gazebo in sight for a change. So much serenity.
And then I got home to the crazy. Clara had gotten sick. I had to teach Sunday School at the early service all alone and had a rough kid to deal with. Not the best day, but the start was oh so nice.
Sounds a day that went from fair to crap! This is a fab shot. The light on the canoe and the silhouetted person are incredibly good. Hope Clara is ok now, give her a hug, she probably needs it. Mind, I guess you've given her lots already today!
@fueast Yes, this part was. So so nice. I needed this.
@gozoinklings Thanks so much for your kind words and fav, Caherine. It was so nice to be out there. I needed it to get me through the rest of my day! I'm telling you, Sunday sunrises are the way to go. It's early and I can still make it to church:).
@seanoneill Truly. It got better, though, luckily. It may have been a fluke puke...she was fine the rest of the day, thankfully!!
@tskipper Thanks so much for the kind words and fav, Tami!!
@psychographer Not a selfie. Wish it were. She made it her FB profile photo...that would be a cool one. You can do it, Lisa. Get up next weekend:). Thanks, friend!
@cheribug Yes, maam. I was so pleased to be able to capture the sunrise with a kayaker this week!
@eyesmile I so wish I had been able to...just stood on the shore and shot. It was amazing!
@bobfoto 32 square miles of lake. Pretty big. Not a gazebo in sight. Great morning, though I was a little stressed that I had to get home earlier than usual and getting home was rough. But there...so much serenity. We watched most of the movie last night. It was fun to see the parts I knew already. Pretty fun and quirky.
@pflaume Thanks so much for the kind words and fav, Lisa!!
@thirtysevenways YES! Thanks, Andy. Thankfully, it was quick. She was fine all day, though we couldn't do anything not knowing if she was contagious or not.
Really appreciate your great comments, guys. Wendy...so glad that this gave you a sigh. The day got better as it progressed. And luckily as I felt myself losing my temper at the very difficult child in Sunday School, the director walked up and whisked him away. She gave me the help that I needed from there on out.

@bobfoto After all that gazebo smack talk you missed my golden morning shots. Note the lack of gazebo. I was pleased that one wasn't there!
