Fall at the Falls by alophoto

Fall at the Falls

This winter I featured these falls and went back in hopes of catching fall color there this year. As an added bonus it was foggy that morning.

This time I noticed a new POV that would allow me to get down in the waterfall by standing on a rock hopefully without getting wet or swept away. I wasn't wearing the right shoes to try it out though. Next time, perhaps.

Here is my winter version: http://365project.org/amandal/365-year-2/2013-02-04 I also linked within that shot to my last fall version, but there was no color to speak of.

Hope your weekends are off to an enjoyable start. Mike and I got a surprise mini date last night so that was a great way to start it off.
During fall! Great capture!

@archaeofrog It's a near impossible pov for a tripod. Very dangerous along a roadway. I will try to see if I can sometime! Thanks!

Thanks so much for your great comments on this falls in the fall shot, my friends. Looking forward to the day when I am in good sturdy shoes and can try out the new pov and also perhaps a time when I can attempt a long exposure here...if I can figure out when the tripod will go. Thanks again. Really appreciate your great feedback and comments!

This is lovely, really lovely. Have you got a tripod and ND filter to shoot it with? I think it would look great.
November 5th, 2013
@seanoneill I do have a tripod. I'm on my second one...I was a bit rough with the first and finally ripped it's leg off. No filter yet, though. I'm pretty basic. One lens, one tripod, a remote timer, free editing software, self taught...but I do ok. Oh to be fancier, though:).

I would love to shoot this with a tripod and try to do a longer exposure, but I am not sure a tripod will work in the space. It is on the side of a road and I have to step over the guard rail and stand right on the edge to get a shot. I'll take it along next time and try it out. Thanks, Sean!
