Q: Who Did the Teacher Yell at During the Test?

A: A Couple a Cheetahs

Yes, I made that up. And yes, I should probably keep my day job.:)

I took the kids to the zoo yesterday and got to see some of my favorite speedy animals. Those who practically fly when they run. And they were being lazy resting in a heap together. Get up and run, ya lazies!

I'm being a bit lazy lately, too. Taking some time off of social media as we are trying to discern what we are to do regarding the house and whether or not to move forward with it after the inspection. This time there are no foundational issues (besides the back decks being improperly supported and potentially unsafe), but there were a lot of costly repairs coming down the pike in the nearby future.

Having the day mainly off online yesterday was really quite nice. It's amazing how much time I had to do other things. Hope to be back more actively tomorrow (and perhaps have a better balance on my time).
Thanks for the morning laugh, friend! Very good shot of the cheetahs. They look so soft. I just wanna pet 'em! (Wisely, I will choose to refrain.) Have a great day!

They blend in very well laying there. Lovely colours in the leaves too.

I love the cheetahs.
Hope you are able to sort things out. I know all the inspection fees are adding up but you do get all the info of what is coming at you. You'll know in your gut when it is perfect.

beautiful shot of them relaxing. aren't they stunning animals

Time on this site has become a big issue for me as well. I want to stay, but find a way to allocate time better. I don't know how people with jobs and family do it all. These laid-back cheetahs are just beautiful. Regarding house purchase; you will always have maintenance issues and expenses, even on a new house. You will want to customize the house for your own use, so you need to consider that as well.

Beautiful fall scene of Cheetahs. Great capture! Zoos are some of my favorite places to go to take pictures!
November 6th, 2013
Ha ha. With the cheetahs you can now be a gangsta rappah.
Note: anything with a house will take triple the time and double the money planned : )
You will know the right place when you see it.

Tricky situation re the house. Hope you find your dream place soon. Lovely shot of these majestic animals.

Good luck with the house and the time issues. In the meantime, this was a wonderful capture and your little joke made me smile.

ha ha, very witty! Couple of beauties you got there. I did exactly the same thing yesterday - well, having worked on the computer all day I just couldn't face any more electronic gadgets in the evening as well, so I gave myself a day off 365. I felt really guilty - how strange is that! But it did me good.

So lovely, I heart cheetahs, they are beautiful. I love their postures.
That totally sux about the house. Sorry to hear that.
PS) Funny joke. I'm sure it would bowl over an audience of six-year-olds.

Such a lovely pair. All the best in the house hunt!

Love the capture of those lazy cheetahs and hope that things work out with the house. Time out from the 'social networks' creates lots of time for real things.

You have such a wonderful sense of humor, Amanda. Love this photo and super envious of your very cool zoo. Best of luck with the house. Sorry that it is a maybe. But, better to know before you buy it. Enjoy time away as it is part of life and does free it up for other things. As you know I take my share away but am super slow unlike you who are super busy.

I wanted to fav this photo but it was in a spin when I cut, pasted and copied it to make it all one comment. Love the detail you captured and the Fall leaves in front. Nicely done, Amanda. FAV
November 8th, 2013
@darsphotos Thanks so much for your wonderfully kind comments and fav, my friend. I so love the cheetahs!
November 8th, 2013
Even though my daughter says I have no sense of humor, I thought your joke was funny! Lovely portrait of your cheetahs, and just think how much easier it was to photograph them being still than running! I like the sprinkling of colored fall leaves, too.
November 8th, 2013
Lovely composition of this pair.
November 8th, 2013
@jyokota I actually got them running over the summer. It was a bucket list shot of mine. Glad you liked the silly joke. Thanks for your great comments and here is the cheetah in action: http://365project.org/amandal/365-year-2/2013-08-04

Love Cheetahs! How did I miss these photos? Wow it's hard once you get behind to catch up! Great shot!
November 9th, 2013
@istacy1011 They actually have trainers in the enclosure with them for the cheetah run show. Doesn't that seem unsafe? I love them. Thanks, Stacy!

Thank you all for your great comments, for appreciating my hokey joke and for your well wishes on the house decisions. We still haven't heard back from the seller if she will make the repairs that we are requesting she make and reduce the price on the house. So looking forward to knowing whether we are moving forward with this or not. It's got me not sleeping again. Maybe we will know today...
