That's a whole lotta the same gazebo in one year. Hope it hasn't been too boring and yawn inducing:).
It became a sort of joke with me and people would say, "Hey, I recognize that place." and "There's your gazebo again." "Love your gazebo."
It's funny how it became my nemesis in a way. It was the thing that I couldn't stop taking photos of, a thing I grew to almost hate. Poor thing.
Yesterday, the water was still and reflective. Just glassy gorgeousness. I thought that one last gazebo photo before I move was in order. Running around the lake and taking photos yesterday for perhaps one of the last times, made me feel reflective and a little melancholy.
Can you figure this shot out? Try standing on your head. It's a flipped reflection. I've been really into those this year, too!
Hope you have a great day and sorry about the headstand, but maybe it got your blood flowing;-)?!
just wonderful - i was thinking about you and your gazebo yesterday - what will be your new nemesis in your new local neighbourhood - will you wake up one morning & find this gazebo in your new backyard !!!! huge fav for this one amanda
Beautiful. Clarity is perfect. This should be your seasonal photo collage. Fav.
So....hate to hear that you'll be slowing down on here. Totally understandable. There are days when my head is spinning from the daily grind, trying to balance 42 things at once. The little break I took this year helped. You're a huge inspiration, so I'll be missing your shots. But here's something I noticed....you say your stepping away....but you're still posting. :P
@losthorizon My break lasted a day. Probably will be taking time off soon with the move on Saturday. Giving myself the freedom to do so. Really appreciate your kind words, Beau. Did you see my tree from yesterday? A new lone tree...what do you think?
Haven't done a headstand in years!! Fantastic Amanda, such a crystal-clear reflection of your nemesis! Have so enjoyed your gazebo shots, especially the sunrises! fav : ))
Love that you flipped it, it is somehow even more 'important' levitating like that above the water. I always enjoy your Gazebo shots - never say never, I am sure it will call you back...
You are so funny and make me laugh and smile when I read your writing. Love this photo and knew right away you had flipped it. It is simply amazing, Amanda. Print it and frame it and close out this chapter as there is a lot more coming. FAV
@eyesmile It's flipped. It was fine unflipped, but the flipped version was just a little more special. Nutso how still the water was, huh? Thanks so much for your wonderful vivacious comments, my friend!
@amandal I am glad you agree as there is so much ahead of you and you can put this in your new home and see where you were. You have become a totally awesome photographer, Amanda. You and your wonderful camera.
@abhijit Thanks so much, Abhijit....this is what I mean by loving the water so and relating to you. Reflections and water add so much to photos I think:)!
Perfection. Love the Gazebo series. It was I believe @squamloon s gazebo shot where you commented about your gazebo and we became friends. So gazebos are good things. Fav.
@darylo They are a good thing. They make me happy. My new area has a cute gazebo. Can't wait for a shot of it. I do love the water with this one!! Thanks so much, Daryl. Glad to remember that a gazebo brought us together. Where is Jim these days...squamloon?
@jo13 Thanks so much, Jo!! The heron is an ornament on the top...made of copper I think. I love it! We have a few or more herons on the lake and I've captured them a few times or so this year. Sometime I want a closeup like you are able to get, but they always fly away from me (though I have used that to my advantage).
Big fat hugs for the faves, my friends. I so love being a part of this amazingly supportive community. You all are the best and really helped to make my week! So pleased with how this last gazebo shot turned out. It is so stinkin' photogenic, surely there will be more:). Again, thank you!
@wind_of_the_sothern_sea Aw, thanks, friend. Really appreciate that. My sorta goal was for 12 TT's in a year (I just thought of that recently when I got close) and this was my 12th. Not too shabby. Didn't get that double TT ever, but that's ok by me. Congrats to you, too!:)
