Twisted Storybook Sunrise

I am still craving color as we have been all white and gray lately, and was rewarded this morning with a lovely rainbow colored presunrise show out my back windows. It doesn't look like a Serengeti sunrise, like it used to, but it'll do:).

This reminds me of how it would have looked for Hansel and Gretel when they woke up in the morning after spending their first night lost deep in the woods.

Gretel: Oh look at the sky, it's not so scary anymore now that it is getting lighter and the bats are gone.

Hansel: All I can think about is how hungry I am. I dropped all the breadcrumbs along the path and now I am starving.

Gretel: Well, let's get up and look for something to eat and then we can try to figure out how to get home.

Hansel: (Sniff, sniff...) Do I smell gingerbread?
Gorgeous Amanda, I love how the colour graduates from orange through pink to blue, beautiful..

Lol! Great sky and story!Do I sense some Hansel and Gretel selfies coming in 2014? If he will let you stick a wolf mask on him and tie him to the bed,He certainly would mind some frolicking in the woods.....

This is a stunning sky and your story -- given that we know the ending -- is a surreal one told in very few words. Well done!
