And when all that would really make it right is a nice cup of coffee. Only coffee is not for my kiddos. Who wants to hyper kids up any worse than they already are?!
So I cuddled Clara up on a chair and wrapped her in a fuzzy blanket and let her be, til all was right with the world again.
Meanwhile, I tried out my borrowed 35mm lens and external flash. Oh my...I am in love. Boy does that change my game. But kinda weird not to have a zoom lens...I kept trying to turn it. Trying to practice up and prepare for a weekend event that I was asked to shoot. A ladies conference at my church. Hope to do well.

Wow. Those tantalizing eyes. Great capture. Are you trying out the Nikkor 35 mm f/1.8 prime? That is the lens that stays on my D3100 95% of the time now. Best bang for the buck in Nikkor's catalog. Just zoom with your feet. The world is a fun place at f/1.8 :)

@jsw0109 actually, I'd like a better camera. I've reached the limits of mine. I want something that isn't an entry level dslr. My entry level is so old that new point & shoots make my MP look like something from the stone age.

WHOA! Yeah, talk about being impressed. Firstly nice photo. Good contrast, nice exposure, good scene, well spotted composition, beautiful tones. But, I got here from the discussion about lenses "which one next to get " or something. And, you said you were impressed with the 35... uh... yeah. First, I'm impressed with you, and secondly nice lens.
@adambralston Sheesh, so wish it were mine. I borrowed it to do an event last week and I am back to my old thing...a 55-200 zoom and meh, it's sokay. Oh but the 35...it sung.
