I have begun an unintentional red theme. 3 red shots in a row. Tomorrow I will make a break from that, I think.
Yesterday, Clara and I were playing cards (Sesame Street Uno to be precice) and I noticed her sitting so sweetly, looking so patient.
"Hold that pose, Clara...wait one second!"
I came back with my camera and snapped a few. She was getting wiggly and impatient, and I struggled with my ordinary lens and no flash (I gave back my borrowed gear on Sunday and miss them). So made a difference in ease and quality.
But anywho, I did like the sweetness I captured, the moment of stillness, of patience. I need to learn from her.
Today, we awoke to more snow on the ground and just yesterday I was in shorts. What the heck?! Come one! Ok, fold hands, deep breaths, and....over it;).
What a lovely shot! Hope that snow doesn't last! We've had another big temperature swing in Houston too - the heating came back on last night, and yet it was balmy yesterday morning! Weird weather things going on this year!
Aw! My little niece sits with her legs crossed and it's so cute. We're having a cold snap in the southeast and I don't mind. We spend most of the year with high heat and humidity, it's nice to have a break. But I know you states who live with major snow suffer, so I won't gloat.
Snow? You are kidding. I've been so busy haven't follow the weather lately. It's in the 80s here. I love this sweet pose you captured and that red polka dot dress is so cute.
I did an event, a ladies retreat over the weekend, and my gear wouldn't have swung a low light, indoor event. The borrowed stuff was amazing. Made such a difference. That rose shot the other day was shot with it, the portraits of Clara last week, and I linked the whole video of the event on the silly rrh shot from yesterday. Lens envy:). Wish it was easy to just buy what I want. Loved your version.
Wonderful capture of your daughters hands waiting patiently. Wow, more snow. It is still in the 80's here with no rain in site. Yep, the drought is not getting better this way and we are running out of time for more rain before Summer. Dreading using the A/C.
@soboy5 Gosh, I wish I could. As a one income family, we just don't have disposable income. I am asking for it for upcoming holidays. Do you have both a 50 and a 35? Which do you prefer and why, if so?
@kerristephens Thanks, Kerri!:)
When my daughter (albeit age 28) plays UNO with mate, it's all bragging and hollering and slamming of cards!
