A Peek through the Springtime Portal by alophoto

A Peek through the Springtime Portal

Here is another capture from the sculpture gardens. This one is actually of a sculpture. It was pretty regular, but I liked the drama of the sc for a change.

A friend on here, Ian @ianplimmer, has done a great series of looking through things in this style and inspired me to try it out.
@ianplimmer How'd I do?:) Thanks for the inspiration.

@ianplimmer You're on.:) Glad you approve! It was kinda hard to lose all of that fabulous springy green at the top, but it really did make the image more dramatic/less static. I like drama:).

It does accentuate the sculpture a lot! I'm glad we can't just see in B&W!

May 6th, 2014
Love the SC here wonderful capture

@ianplimmer I recently discovered picmonkey makes sc pretty easy. You just use the b&w tool and select the paintbrush and color. I used to do it in Gimp and it was pretty time consuming with many annoying steps. Once an sc job took me 2 days to complete. It was a big one, but...

I love pic monkey and ribbet for sc..... Both have the paintbrush tool which makes it so simple! Really effective, I like the framing by the statue.....
May 6th, 2014
Great idea! Love how you did this! Very dramatic!
