This was taken during our shoot for my Mad Hatters The Giving Tree shot that I posted today. This is an outtake, because he wasn't doing what I wanted him to do, but I love it for that. I love what I caught. It was the story of our time shooting.
This was supposed to be my son closing his eyes and pretending to sleep in the tree's shade, but he was examining the ants and other bugs all around him, the ones that could eat him up.
"Uh uh, I am NOT closing my eyes. They are bugs all around me!"
Needless to say, it was pretty frustrating for me who was lying in the grass, getting itchy and just wanting to get the shots done. In the end I had some that were pretty good and we didn't need a redo thankfully.
And that is why I mainly do selfies. Good free help is hard to find.:)
My husband will walk up (maybe that should be travel up) escalators for you. 365 provides you with some wonderful photos of your children for the memory box. Love the story about all the bugs.
Love how he's ensconced in the green and happy to read about your time together. This is what makes photography special, not just the end product, the entire process is an experience itself.
Love this shot Amanda, partly because it's exactly what my son (and husband!!) would have done - they don't like bugs either! Although a pic of my husband sitting under a tree like this wouldn't be anywhere near as sweet! Fav.
Wonderful shot, love the story and agree, envy time I try to involve my kids they do not take directions easily and are so easily distracted but I guess they are only 2 and 5 :-). I have to train them better...
