Nature on either side. Moving in to reclaim. So interesting to observe.
This is a tunnel through an old cartridge factory near home that is mostly abandoned. I've always loved how it tunnels into the woods. Last winter, while out running, I snuck through a hole in the fence and walked through the tunnel. There were icicles all over the brick ceiling and it was pretty darn cool. And of course I had no camera with me.
This was taken during our Charlie and the Chocolate Factory shot that I posted on Mad Hatters yesterday. This week, we are telling that story and I kicked it off with my boy playing Charlie...check it out if you missed it and play along if you know the story and tag your shots madhatters-chocolate: http://365project.org/madhatters/365/2014-06-02
Oh and thanks for your love of the gobstoppers (really gumballs) yesterday. Who knew that colorful confections would resonate so much with you all?
@nanderson I did get through just once. I think that the fence was broken down more and I stepped in. Very creepy cool. The ceiling had been lined with icicles which was both cool and freaked me out. Thanks, Nancy!
Hope you don't go there alone! Looks sort of scary. You never know who might be hiding there. Very interesting shot though. Like you said, nature just reclaims anything we do to it in the end.
I'm catching up with your wonderful shots, I love this, reminds me of 80's horrors... You know the nice bits at the beginning where the kids are innocent and just exploring not knowing what's to come... I love the innocence in this :)
@corymbia @juliac I don't know what it is, but I am so drawn to this place. Love to get in there for selfies, but then I'd be breaking the law:).
