I can relate to this little guy. This sweet macaque with it's pink face, that always appears to be blushing. Looks like he had a long day. In fact, the lady that toured us around the zoo, said that the animals had been "working hard all day and were tired." I wonder if they really feel like what they do at the zoo (getting looked at all day) is work. She also told us that some of the animals like to watch TV and shared that the gorillas especially love to watch Bengals football, yet these guys prefer the sitcoms. Strange.
Today, I go in for my eye procedure. Praying that it is relatively quick and painless and that I am not a patch wearing pirate princess for too terribly long. I like the idea of it for a day or so, but to walk around with one eye for awhile and looking kinda funky with a patch doesn't seem so fun for any great length of time.
I will be taking a break from 365 for a bit...a week or so. Perhaps I will get to one more selfie up tomorrow for my birthday before I officially break. And I sure hope that I can still get some photos, even though my shooting eye may be resting and hidden, to share with you when I return.
Good luck Amanda. Wishing you a successful procedure and fast recovery. Hoping you'll be back sharing your shooting eye with us very soon. This is a sad, beautiful photo. The whole thing with primates in prison seems sad to me.
He looks sort of sad, and your report is sort of sad too, except it's the road to recovery, and tomorrow is your birthday. It's sad for us that you'll be gone for a week, but everyone needs a break now and then.
Awwww, this is so precious and I loved your story. I wish you a very happy birthday, Amanda, and sure hope your eye instantly returns to normal and the procedure is quick and relatively uneventful. Hubby is in today for some tests at the Dermatologist.
Sending good thoughts your way. I'll miss your photos, but want you to have a good break and to heal quickly. This shot is a 'warm-fuzzy' one -- and fascinating to read about their TV preferences!
Thank you for the birthday wishes and sweet words and thoughts about my eye procedure. All went well. No eye patch and I can see just fine. He didn't even have to make an incision, but was able to pluck it out. Shew. Very grateful and relieved!!! May still try to rock the eye patch for fun, though!:) See you real soon!!!
