Thank you so much for your comments and faves on my very happy sunny bee shot posted yesterday.
I was going to sit on this one for the weekend, but had to share as I had such an awesome time by our butterfly bush yesterday (anyone know what this flowery bush is really called?). I hung there with my camera for a few minutes and snapped away following around this flittery thing, a lovely black swallowtail. He barely was still for a moment, but I managed to catch a couple snaps of him appearing at peace. I wonder if other creatures have ADD or if this one was just hepped up on all that sugary nectar.
Can you believe how gorgeous those wings are? Like they were planned and painted by a master. And I believe they were crafted by the ultimate master.
Wonderful to see different coloured butterflies like this one! We only see red admirals - except in the Butterfly Park at the Museum! I'm surprised you didn't reach PP on your sunflower shot!
