@summerfield That makes me smile big. Thank you so much. Love the focus on portraiture lately. I still need to get the bloody settings right. M is giving me fits!!
So cool, Amanda. I didn't think creepy at all, but when I read your commentary and went back, I thought about how differently I would have reacted if you'd used the other title. Fascinating to see the role of text on our visual interpretation!
@amandal - i hear yah! yesterday i was shooting outdoors. i saw a sign with my name on it, and i thought i'd do a self-p. did some test shots to get focus. looked good. i stand beside the sign and i get a washed out photo. so, because i don't see myself going back there, i used av all the way. other previous shots were the same with M. dangit! but you, you're young, you'll figure it out easily. my brain is old, can't be taught new tricks anymore. :-)
@amandal At least you have the chance to take their pics, my son is 18 in two weeks and I have hardly any photos of him as I wasn't into photography back then and now he absolutely refuses to let me snap him, so annoying!!!
@jo13 What a punk. You ought to put him in a diaper and have him suck his thumb for you for a fun photo;-). I was into it a tad for all my kids, but really mostly with this one. Wish I hadn't missed out on so much time either!
@bill_fe She was probably over being photographed and my directions for how to stand and where to look. Thanks, Bill. I vingetted it and loved what it did.
Wow, my friends, thanks so much for all of your great comments, support and faves. Blown away by your response. Trying to better master the portrait this year! Thanks again!!
@maggiemae Not everyday, but often. I only that day noticed the great reflections. I had her repose for me for this one. It took a few takes, but she liked this one best. Thank yoU!!!
Wow, thank you all so much for your awesome comments and support of this shot. Really appreciate and am blown away by the faves, too. I loved this one, but thought it was just because it was dear to me. Glad that it resonated with you. So grateful, too, to be doing better with my portraiture as I am hoping to better master those types of shots this year. Thanks so much!!
@newbank @mummarazzii Thanks, ladies!
