Simply blown away by all your recent support and wonderful comments and faves. Yesterday, I was gone for 2 hours and returned to 45 notifications (that never happens!!). Sheesh.
Too, I posted a FB status update the other day and was told it was someone's best update they had seen in awhile (it was pretty emotional about some news, and timing on things that brought me to tears), made a phone call to accept a part time position and was told that it was the person's best call/news of the day, and made the fav fav list for an awesome photographer on here which is always a super honor.
Very happy to be a part of this amazing community and so happy to have found a passion in photography.
Oh my!! How absolutely gorgeous is this! I love that you have blurred the water but I think your composition is perfect too. I have to say it's when I see gorgeous shots like this that I appreciate being a part of 365. I watched a wonderful National Geographic photographer and he said too many people are trigger happy and don't take time to look for the better shot, they just go for the postcard shot. I can see that you took your time, looked for the best composition, got down low and really thought about what was going to make a great scene look "amazing"!
Okay, I just raved on there before reading your caption... loved reading it!
@bella_ss Love your sweet comments. I took a ton of this shot trying to get it just so. I was straddling rocks, trying not to slip or get wet, adjusting the setting for the water, standing up and squatting down...it was work, but I got it right and was pleased. It's amazing how many shots it takes to do this sometimes:). And sometimes you get lucky with one click. Thanks so much, Sheralee:)!!!
@lesip No, that would be amazing. It is helping a lady from church who was rendered unable to walk during childbirth. It happened 2 years ago and she is coming along and getting around now with a walker. She goes to therapy once a week (PT) and I will drive her and watch her kids while she is there. It's a temp job for a few months or so. And I do have another possible job that I am awaiting a call for...an office one where i help with event planning (that was my background and last job before I had kids). And isn't that the truth sometimes about the first shot. That often happens with selfies for me.
@lesip I will have to get them watched for a short while on the one day a week. And not sure how the other possibility will work out. it's a 3 day a week thing and I would need to figure something out for Clara for 3 hours a day...and would get home before they all got home. Summer would be a challenge. We'll see what I can figure out should I get the job.
What a gorgeous shot, Amanda. You need to professionally photograph. The colors and detail in this photo are amazing. I am in awe of what you are posting, well I catch you more on FB but some are here, well more are here. Congrats on the job. Sounds great and I hope you land where you and your family are happiest. Busy you. FAV
Wow, you all...blown away. And here I sat on this shot a couple weeks (sometimes it's so tough to decide when you take a bunch). And today, i look out to winter with snow on the ground. I'd love to get the same pov in the snow, but it would be dangerous as I stood on the rocks that would now be icy. So appreciate your amazing comments and faves. Thanks for all of your fab support!!!
