I had to look up the actual name of the painting that fascinated me and was so beautiful to me at the Cincinnati Art Museum. It's amazing what you can learn on the internet. It is called 'The Mirror' by William Merritt Chase, an American Impressionist.
A year or so ago, I was a part of a ladies Bible study where we were studying and learning how to hear from God. Hear His voice. It was pretty awesome. Well on the last meeting, we participated in prophetic prayer time (a first for me). Well I was prayed for and someone heard this song and the lyrics and saw me looking in the mirror. I am still trying to wrap my head around what it meant, what changes I should make. It was pretty powerful and cool, though. Change can be a really good thing. It's been good to have to shift my focus and priorities by going back to work.
@amandal - change status to 'restricted' if they're not members they won't see that particular photo, even if they are members they'd have to follow you and they can't still see your photo if they're allowed to see only your public photos. but i suppose you know that.
@sailingmusic How cool. It seems that everyone has some sort of tie to OH. Columbus is a great town. And Dayton is pretty close to me. I don't know Piqua, though.
This is a beautiful painting! The "Man In the Mirror" song could mean that no matter what you do, be true to you authentic self?? Just guessing of course, you seem like a person who values that quality. This makes a beautiful photo.
In reading your commentary on this photo I was expecting you to say that you have every intention of creating a selfie similar to this artwork. I can see you pulling that off with style.
Wow, I can see how and why this painting would so powerfully resonate with you! It is a really wonderful painting, btw....and, yes, change can be extremely good.....it gets us out of our comfort zone, and lets us see the world with different eyes and perspective!
@darsphotos I did it and then the next day got no views on my photo. I may try to change some photos to have that feature, but won't change the overall settings again. I thought just friends and followers could see work, but it seems like it was invisible.
There is a privacy tab with each photo and I wonder what would happen if I messed with that when I wanted a photo less accessible?
@amandal Guess I will not be changing that setting either. I have not heard of it before and will wait to see what you find out. You are welcome for the comments. I am behind posting because of my computer though may pull some photos from before and maybe do B&W. Though my son said not to change anything on my computer and just use for email, FB and commenting here. Nice weather here and through the weekend after all the rain we got. It was 72 yesterday and this morning woke to blue skies and sun. Loving it. Hope you are having nice weather as well.

@summerfield Good to know about the restricted access. :) Thanks for the tip!
